Suboart Magazine is one of International Art Magazine that dedicated to introduce the emerging artist to the art world. Suboart Magazine was founded in December 2020 by Nina Seidel, an Austrian-born Portugal artist. She want to offer an affordable and professional outlet to emerging artist who haven’t had the chance to develop their CV. Together with Carolina Castilho who joined in 2022, the Suboart Magazine flourishing into an inspirational space which can use by the artist to share their stories through their works and words.
At November 2024, after looking a post form their social media, I was interested to looking deepen for its content. I really interested with their interview session in every issues that not only introduce the artist and their final works, but also discover the creative process and philosophycal aspect behind their creations. With the dynamic conversations between Nina or Carolina and the artists, the readers are guided to walk deepen into the world of the artistic minds.
Then, this post is triggering me to submit my works and profile to be featured on January print issues. There must be so many applicants for every issues published monthly, and maybe there are so little chances for me to be selected. But then, I go to their website and fill the submission form with my selected works and artist statement.
Long-short story, I’ve got an email from the team that saying I was selected for the next January 2025 issue Nr 35. And ofcourse! I was happy at the time, because it’s my first time to be featured on International Art Magazine. Hopefully, there are more opportunity for me to introduce the works, develop the artistic skills, and enrich the experiences through international activities concerning art, politics and communities.
