What are the recent printmaking practices by Bandungite and Jakartan young artists? Out of Register then comes a meeting point of seven works made by two collectives from Jakarta and five artists from Bandung. This exhibition inscribes what kind of shifts of printmaking practice outlined by these artists; based on the prime techniques of intaglio, screenprints, woodcuts, to the offset printing and the performative act of printmaking itself. Out of register, a printing phenomenon that caused misaligned lines and colors on prints is the title to showcase the interchanges of artists from these warm and cold regions - offering us to inspect the results of formulated steps versus improvisational tactic in order to adapt on-field challenges. See you there!
