Di Rumah Tak Berarti Melemah

At the end of June 2020, I had the opportunity to participated on a printmaking poster exhibition entitled Di Rumah Tak Berarti Melemah. This exhibition was initiated by Gudskul, Serrum and Grafis Huru-Hara as a form of appreciation for printmaking artist who are still working in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was contacted by Amy Zahrawan before, one of my friends who is also a member of Grafis Huru-Hara, curator of this exhibition. He asked, “What do you do when all your access is limited lately? Are you still working?”. “Of course!” I said firmly. I still work by utilizing available resources, coincidentally some material for work is still available in the studio. “Okay, then prepare your work!” he continued.

After that I immediately made a work using a technique that I usually used, woodcut print. But in the final visuals, I added image-transfer xerography techniques and also screen prints to reinforce the ideas I wanted to convey.
